I didn’t always understand the value of health or even how to create or support it with all the ways I now employ nearly everyday.
My journey of healing and health started in 2011. I was unhealthy. Weighing over 267 pounds (and I only know that because doctors make people get on scales – I avoided them….I didn’t even own one) I had given up. I used my “conditions” as a white flag. I had Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome & Hashimotos. Then one day a friend told me about Paleo & Whole30 and wanted to do the 30 day challenge with me. I had hope, but more then that….my mental attitude began to change. Like “The Little Engine that Could” I started to say to myself repeatedly “I think I can, I think I CAN” I started to run. I started to lift small weights. I tried new classes. Bootcamps, Zumba, Kickboxing, Yoga & Crossfit.
A year later 90lbs less and my Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome fully under control my husband and I discovered we had a little Tubby on the way. I continued to workout and maintain my strength and endurance.
On December 20, 2013 – Tubby joined the world. — and I was excited to have my little helper get me back in shape.
I am excited about who I am and what holistic and natural approaches to common (and uncommon) disease, physical, mental and emotional can do to support healthy living . No more white flags for me. How about you?
